Is it an issue with the actual quality of the Tivoli hardware or a matter of incompetence by the installer/repairer..?

They initially tried to blame the installer connecting it up wrong - but it was done according to the instructions provided. They also claimed to have "corrected" the installers mistake the first time they came round. We have two of the exact same setups - the other one is fine - not needing them to correct any installer "mistakes"

When they came round last month, they claimed a diaphragm was faulty and replaced it - yet it still does the exact same thing.

The entire thing is meant to be serviceable from the outside, but it seems that doesn't mean much.

I think the most frustrating part is their service, they say they respond in 24 hours after logging a call, they have now not gotten back to me 3x after calling to "log a call".

Just called to speak to the manager, apparently he only comes in 10:30ish.

Keep in mind, the 2 toilet setups were well in excess of R10k.

Same with Cachet taps - do not touch them.

Their 10-year guarantee only applies to "moving parts" i.e. the handle and spout. When the innards collapse and leak it's not their problem :(

Ripped all ours out and replaced them.

Anyone have innovative ways to removing pool safety covers, the ones with the poles - thinking of creating some sort of harness you can pull from the center of one side.... pain in the arse needing two people.

Then - where you do you buy fittings for the covers? They just drilled holes into the payvers, and you stick stainless steel "tent-peg" like fittings into them, and rachet the cover to that. There must be neater fittings
 
With regards to a backwash tank for a pool, how does the water get back into the pool?

Thinking of using a flow bin

Builders has a backwash kit. Asfaik connect a hose to the tap on the tank open and it flows back into your pool.

I have a net and it's a major PIA to open and close

Ah - this might be a problem, my pump is on the other side of the drive way, about 10-15m away, and its a slight slope in the wrong direction.
 
I poached a guy from an air con installer to do 8 installations privately for me at R1500 - R2000 per unit including materials which was pretty cheap I think. Back to back installations might be a little cheaper too.

Great workmanship and consistency. Pm me for details.

Edit: CPT. He's based in the North, but traveled to Plumstead for me.

Did he use copper pipe or alumunium?

Any normal pool shop should sell them as singles.

Ok sorry about that, thought your cover had the hook parts which need to go into the paver side. A friend of mine has that same setup, goodluck stepping on one without shoes on.

Hi all.
Looking for some help. My gate does not have a battery and I would like to put one in. I have not opened it up yet but is it as easy as buying a battery and wiring up to the correct place.

Are some gate 12V and others 24V?
It is a Hansa deluxe 1 and probably pretty old.

i am not too sure on that particular motor but if it doesn't default support a battery it isn't that simple. is there even space for a battery in the housing?

Also does it have a battery charger?

Internet seems to suggest it's a 220v motor.. going by some pics (if they are of the right motor) the housing is filled with massive motor, no space for a battery..
