Yeah look I have a mate who most people would believe is my brother and that gets confused with me on every facial recognition platform available for the last 10 years so I can understand where the worry is coming from.

At the end of the day physical security should be your first concern for your phone and anything beyond that I consider a temporary layer with a given amount of time being the difference between it being locked or unlocked.

Also as mentioned in the article iOS is being "taught" to accept these two faces and did fail to authenticate at first. If they weren't purposely pushing to test it and helping it along in the process things may be quite different.

Still it's not unexpected for this kind of thing I reckon.
 
Anyone else using shortcuts? These are some of the ones I've loaded or created.

I am starting to use it now, most of them are for Data and WiFi toggle, and sending text/starting music.

Can I ask what is your police one?

It's something I found on Reddit to use if I get pulled over by the police - basically it dims the screen, starts recording a video, messages my wife with my location, and uploads the video to iCloud or Dropbox, amongst other things.

The Shortcuts app? Mine's been solid.

Just created a new Shortcut that takes my latest screenshot, resizes it, converts it to a jpg and gives you the option of either saving it to an album or airdrops it to my laptop...

Maybe it is just the shortcut I am creating, but it is rather strange.

I was actually thinking this morning how cool it would be if I could get a shortcut that I can use to time the amount of time I need to brew my coffee, will check out the shortcuts later.

Do you have a set amount of time you brew it for? If so start off with setting a timer (in the Clock app) for that duration. Then go create your shortcut and that time will be an available option.

Otherwise there's a shortcut in the gallery called Laundry Timer that you can alter to suit your needs.

I so wish my shortcuts app would work, I can't seem to find anyone on the internet with the same problem. I did send in a support ticket though.
