Thanks for reply :)

Yea, had that for starters then saw another source without and tried that.

Just gives not available message immediately, interestingly though: when I used the MMSC address followed by: ':9201' it said 'fetching' for a while then eventually bombed.

I really hope the next version of Swirly will have it's own viewer :( I cannot understand why the firmware does not have its own application to allow this!

Apple 3G iPhone to be Priced From $399?

TG Daily is reporting that the Apple 3G iPhone will be launched at WWDC in 2 or possibly 3 configurations.

According to their sources there will be at least two models, one with 8 GB and one with 16 GB memory, priced at $399 and $499, respectively. They mention there is a chance that we could see a 32 GB version for $599.

The iPhone itself is reported to come with a slightly thinner body, which sheds about 2.5 mm when compared to the original iPhone. The casing, TD Daily was told, will see revisions in its appearance, removing some of the “plasticky” feeling of some parts.

Additional 3G iPhone Hints Found !!!

According to explorations by a Greek iPhone site iPhoneHellas, several interesting text strings have been found in the latest 2.0 Beta Firmware.

As already noted there is a YouTubePlugin still present for Safari though it is not yet activated.

There have been new references found to: 'HeadsetBT HeadphonesBT’ which suggests that in addition to mono headset support we may see stereo bluetooth headphone support.

iPhoneHellas also found references to ‘RoleGps RoleRemote RoleA2DP' which could imply GPS navigation.

A reference to "Google411," associated with Google Maps, suggests the iPhone will receive a directory lookup link for given locations.

The site also notes there is "Printers" in / Library…

Most notably Apple may be taking steps to prevent unlocking. The quote below indicates that the phone may eventually refuse to unlock itself for use with unofficial carriers.
'BRICKED_AND_SIM_LOCKED_STRING
brickedDevice BrickedDevice

Ignoring request to unlock because we’re blocked or bricked'

Finally iPhoneHellas notes that all records regarding Nike+ have now been deleted in the latest beta.

More iPhone GPS Indicators Discovered

A MacNN reader has spotted yet another indicator that the iPhone will feature GPS capabilities.

Notes on Apple's developer site mention altitude measurements – something that MacNN says is impractical with current cell tower-based positioning due to accuracy. The note indicates the "verticalAccuracy" variable can be a positive or negative value, that its measured in meters, and that it is available in iPhone OS 2.0 or later.

The document relates to the "CLLocation Class Reference" and was found on the Apple Developer Connection website.

GPS + iPhone will be a dream...
