Hi,

I would like to know if anyone has experienced difficulty with regard to iPhone, auto-brightness and the new 2.2 Apple update?

Strange... It seems to be stuck on bright sometimes and it also seems to be an issue with the 2.2 update according to others online.

Well if anyone has a suggestion or a fix let me know.

I have noticed that - I disabled it and set my own brightness (which is quite low)
 
Hey guys
1) is it possible to sync my phone with my XP machine via wifi?
2) i had a program that when pushing the home button twice, it opened up a search function to search the whole phone but now since upgrading I cannot find this.

Hi,

It seems to have come right. I read a tip on the mac forums about booting it up in a bright environment and since doing that it seems to have come right.

Sometimes it does take about 30 seconds to realise it is too bright or too dim for the environment it is in.

Nope, not that I know of.

It's called QuickGold and you can find it in Cydia. You push the home button once, not twice.

Remember all your 3rd party apps will be gone after an upgrade and new jailbreak. -
 
I've only had time today to mess around and to an upgrade.

Busy building my new IPSW now in PwnageTool...

Edit: Pretty cool, sw 2.2 has an status bar when updating :D

Linux has ben ported(somewhat) to the iphone, we might be able to install android in the near future hopefully.

Very cool! Except they don't yet have the following:

- Write support for the NAND
- Wireless networking
- Touchscreen
- Sound
- Accelerometer
- Baseband support
