The only deal they dont list there is the Talk130 @ R315 pm. I opted for that.

I think echoza was the person who found 2 places that would fix screens. Was igear not one of them?

I found this for Gauteng & WC:

http://www.ifixipods.co.za/index.asp

This is so upsetting. In 1 week my friend's iPhone screen lands on the corner of his granite counter and cracks his screen, and um.. I rather not tell you what happened to mine today... :(

I looked at that ifixipods bunch, but i didn't get any of that warm fuzzy feeling about them.

...which is why I am paying top dollar for comprehensive insurance on my iPhone :o

guy's anyone have any luck with full gps as yet, or should we wait for v3 software

vodacom updates ipcc??

so, I had to restore my iphone today (failed jailbreak...), I restored to OS 3.0, and, without applying any custome ipcc, tethering and mms works great (mms was extremely dodgey on beta 5 with custom ipcc)

I'm thinking vodacom updated their ipcc??

It's actually quite funny when I think back about it! I even stuck my hand half down the toilet to try save it so it doesn't go all the way down the drain pipe!!

Finished half the bottle of Dettol on me :)

In Europe at the moment and they selling white iPhone for €470 (16GB), so i'll see if I can budget my holiday. Not worried about new iPhone as my contract ends in January..

Really miss it... :(

ROFL!!! Sorry but that's hilarious man!!

Eish ...Sorry to say. but i'd say that's a write off hey :( :( :(

You can try the raw rice thing but i don't think it's gonna help...

Bru nothing will help. Even if it does help, I wouldn't want to use the phone covered in liquid ****.

Were you insured?

I wanna get the new one when it comes out! Not a terible price for the 16GB..Get one and sell it when the new one comes out.. And cut your losses.. Cos you not gonna get that back when you sell it prob..

Yip I have made sure... It's from a Vodafone outlet. I think most of the EU countries iPhones are officially unlocked..

Sorry to hear about your loss, limnos....but the way it happened still has me laughing. :)

I moved my insurance from Vodasure to Santam, after reading about Vodasure's poor service wrt iphone repairs/service.....and also saved myself a bit of money in the process.

Vodasure : iPhone Black 16GB = R149 a month

Santam : iPhone Black 16GB = R120 a month

*I phoned a Vodashop and the iPhone 16GB will cost you R8500 cash, that's the amount I insured it for with Santam.

uhm, vodafone does not mean unlocked

south african iPhones are unlocked because our legislation prevents network locked phones from being sold in the country, just make sure
