Redsn0w is specific to your firmware. The latest version does not jailbreak all firmware versions. Please download the tool version below based on your firmware or your operating system (MAC vs Windows).

what is the difference between the last two?? It just says NEW

Not.. Once you upgrade, the jailbreak is removed as you said, and any jailbroken apps, including any "non-purchased" iTunes apps will get removed as far as i know.. In order for the non-purchased iTunes apps to sync to the device it needs to be jailbroken, and AppSync installed. So once you upgrade, AppSync is no longer installed

Hi guys, I get the dreaded "redsnow.exe has stopped working" error while to trying to JB 4.3.1

I'm running Vista SP2

I googled it and tried to run redsnow in Vista SP2 compatibility mode, disabled firewall, AV etc....no luck.


I'm yet to try it out on another PC.

Any other suggestions, help?

I have this issue on my iPhone 4 where MMS images disappear after a while, msg is there but the image will just disappear.
/Issue from 4.2.1... I'm on iOS4.3.1 now... no jail break

Weird.. some things to try

1) Try download again, from the official page.

2) If that still gives you problems, create a new user account for your Windows and try it on that account.

3) ask in the iPhoneZA forums @ http://iphoneza.co.za/forums (in my sig)

Haven't received any msgs since upgrading. Will monitor. Yeah it was all msgs with pics attached.

However, now my push notifications don't seem to be working properly. I receive none from Facebook and only receive from Whatsapp when I have just left the app and it is still connected. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm gonna try a restore this evening and hopefully it will sort it out. Just wanted to check if anyone else had experienced something similar?

Check out the forums section of my site as well to post any problems you may be experiencing such as this! http://iphoneza.co.za/forums

Some troubleshooting:
Check that in Settings, Mail, Fetch New Data, Push is ON

Check under Settings, Notifications, that the notifications are enabled for the app that you wish to enable push for.

If no luck, try Reset All Settings - Settings, General, Reset, Reset all settings

As a last resort, you can try restoring.

Yeah.. Well were you jailbroken on a previous firmware version? Chances are you will have SHSH blobs saved for that firmware version if you were, and you can restore back to that version if so!

All depends on whether you pressed the "make my life easier" button in Cydia when you first jailbroke.

go to settings, general, about and see what it says under "Capacity"..

If it is a 64GB then you could be onto something here... !!!
