Quick question....has anyone been able to buy vouchers from globalitunes the last couple of days? Everytime I click on addt o cart, I get a pop-up that shows a 1cent product called "sample product"

I've bought a few apps so far. Trism, MotionX GPS, Pocket God, Aurora Feint Tower Puzzles.

I got Pocket God last night, it's not hours of game play, but it is good fun and they are adding new items each week. I also found a nice site that reviews iPhone games. http://toucharcade.com/
 
It feels good purchasing apps once in a while :D I can now get notified for updates.. lol

Best game by FAR on the iPhone is Metal Gear Solid Touch! Game is wicked... Just can't get past mission #11 !

It's not too hard. Just shoot the Gekko's legs whenever you can, that makes it go back a bit or fall down so it can't kick the wall. And obviously that green little thing providing you with a decent rocket launcher or whatever is it, keep your eyes open and use it. :)

THat's not the hardest mission. Once you complete it, there is survival mode. Health carries over to next level...that gets a bit tough.

Cycorder doesn’t work (crashes back to Springboard)
SysInfoPlus works, but the memory part’s a little screwy (I don’t think that the MobilePhone app is using over 3GB of RAM!)
xGPS works just fine :), including Wireless Transfer of maps from the xGPS Manager
MobileSubstrate based apps DO NOT WORK, and caused my iPhone to go into an endless boot cycle. Don’t bother, unless you feel like restoring. ;-)

@Roland - Pls email me the .ipcc file for MMS/Tethering. And if you don't mind, explain how to switch from the one to the other.

it's not so much the car, it's the audio system, i had a full featured ipod docking system installed that included a bluetooth receiver with both headset and stereo profile support, the toyota just has a radio that has stereo bluetooth support in it

will send now, I don't really see the need to jailbreak, i only did because of mms and tethering, these now supported by os 3.0, so i'm happy to live without cycorder, sbsettings, posspreffs etc, never been into theming, and, i have to say, the phone is much snappier without jailbreaking (as in quicker)

I presume I still need the udid? this will only jailbreak my iphone?

argh, I got exited for nothing this is just a jailbrreak, won't activate the iPhone you still need a uuid.(what I've read)

You don't dude.. Just get something little snitch and disable the internet for iTunes.app or disconnect from the internet when you restore..

The jailbreak was my first post, the RS links i sent you is the beta2 IPSW.

OK.. I think I'll try maybe once someone else(without a developer id) tries it first though ;)

What a mission to activate beta 2! I had to use a String Editor to change the firmware from 3.0 to 2.2 so I can trick the phone in iTunes it is version 2.2 so I can update :D

beta 2 is sick! I love the everything about it, especially the new Messages.app

I jailbroke anyway, just to test it out. I quite like Icy compared to Cydia - very quick.. Almost none of the apps work but who cares, at least I can SSH...

Roland: How do I select text that I want to copy?

Totally agree there - just about all my other apps besides swirly, cycorder and pdanet are app store apps - bought and free.

I have not found any game on the iPhone that has hooked me - I have a PSP ("jailbroken" :D) and it works much nicer with games anyway
