Well I sent a MMS to a friend and he says he can't open my MMS (worked for him before when I was using the betas). IIRC MMS is not supported on the 2G, or was that just a nasty rumour?

You need the older version of iTunes to install the custom carrier file while we wait for the official one from Vodacom/Apple. Roland is playing with tethering. I will get round to testing that tonight.

I see.

I'm downloading the older iTunes at the moment.

Do i need any ipcc file as of yet?
 
busy updating an iphone that's not registered as a dev device to 3.0 GM... i have to know... lol
 
i never use iTunes backup.. always manuall SSH accross the files..

but since there is no jailbreak yet in 3.0:

will it backup all my calender events, contacts, SMS's, alarms, everything? oh and photos?

Yup. It's all I have been using since the later 2.x releases.
 
ok, confirmed, iPhone 3G does not have to be a dev device, the OS 3.0 GM still activates

haha, and it had and MTN sim in when it activated... no longer even need a vodacom sim to activate the phone.... lol

Some quick questions - any help appreciated

Hi Guys,
Just moved from MTN to VODACOM and although my update was a Blackberry storm I decided to stay with IPHONE. (Anybody know where I could sell a BB. STORM)

Either way some quick questions which I hope you guys could help with

1. Is there any way to receive sms delivery reports on the iphone. I know there are settings for certain countries but have ours been discovered

2. I have a South African and USA Istore account. I definately wany to use my USA apps, but there are a few SA apps that I do not want to delete. How would I get both uploaded to IPHONE, or how could I change login on the iphone in order for it to believe its a new store. Synching normall means it's one set of applications or the other. I would prefer not to jailbreak, although I have done so before I find it slows down the computer

Appreciate any help

Did you upgrade or restore? 2G you should have gone with an upgrade.
