i'm having the same issue, can get everything working except mms over 3G
I've now got a slightly more stable version of this same ipcc
spent last nigh from around 11 to 2am with the original creator of the first ipcc figuring things out
if ANYONE can give some insight to the mms working over 3G, we'd appreciate it
for those who can mms over 3G, did you edit the mms settings at all??
Would mxit be able to be a push notification app?
Would mxit be able to be a push notification app?
Only if they implement (and I think you have to pay Apple to use the service as far as I know). Would be useful though, but so far my PUSH apps seems damn unstable, the developers (of BeejiveIM) has commented on this and says the problem lies with Apple's servers. Apparently there's not queuing in the push functionality yet, so it seems like it's a hit and miss situation...if the push message goes through you're A-OK, but when there's a bad data connection things get hairy.... hope it's improved soon, since the functionality seems great when it works, I actually prefer it infinitely more than multitasking.
The other problem is that I don't pay for the -push- apps I'm currently using, and as long as it remains too unstable to be viable I'm not going to spend $16 on an app that has all the functionality of free IM apps, but with unstable/crappy push (no matter whose fault it is)
I use BeeJive. Push has been flawless?

Really? Dammit dude, I've been using it since yesterday and the stability is awful. But I'm starting to think it's not the apps fault. Do you get 3G reception at home?
[EDIT] I keep losing my data connection, I can't even open sites in Safari periodically...I've never had this problem before![]()
Dammit, can't access the internet at all from my phone...
It all worked fine yesterday!!
lol, BeeJive has crashed good and proper... its been removed from the app store! Talk about going from HERO to zero.
On twitter:
iphone_devWe're looking into the push notification issue on hacktivated iPhones and will update you when we learn more.

I've been using the aim free app to check the push service and it has been flawless so far but i notice my credit is slowly dropping cent by cent constantly. Is this because of push? If so is vodacom gonna do something about supporting push properly?
