haha no worries. be sure to post your comparison on navigon and tomtom or other app.. i still prefer tomtom in most ways.. could see myself using both interchangeably though

have you noticed tomtom picks up signal a lot quicker than navigon ?

agree that tomtom is also noticeably less accurate than navigon though.

sygic on the other hand takes forever to get signal / zoom into your position etc etc..

I prefer navigon, mainly because the maps (especially the POI) looks better, how quickly you can add to favourites and that its more accurate.

But I also use tomtom every now and again, one day I'll use navigon and the other day I'll feel a bit tomtom ish

Thanks fxit. Installed the ipa using Installous, rebooted twice, launch Tom Tom icon, splashscreen appears, then app exits Any ideas? Do I need a info.plist file?

No worrriea. No but you do need at least 3.0 firmware as far as I know... What iPhone u got and what firmware?

Interesting, when my iPhone is on standby it doesn't fetch my mails from Gmail (even when set to 15 minute update intervals) via the WiFi (my data service only gets activated on Sunday). Seems to be because the WiFi is disabled during standby.

Anybody else experience this? And does it fetch in standby mode when a cellular data service is activated (thereby eliminating the need for an active WiFi connection)?

yeah that's to save battery

you can try "keep awake" from cydia which keeps wifi active, but I'm sure it will affect your battery life.

Pretty sure it fetches in standby on normal cellular data network (i.e 3G etc). But I don't really use the mail client so I'm not 100% sure.

I'm on MTN and ever since the upgrade to 3.1, I can't connect to EDGE, is anybody else having this problem?
