Just a quick question for those that have Gmail enabled as a push service: Do you get new mail notifications when your phone's been in standby for, say, 10 minutes or more?
Seeing as I don't have a data package yet and do everything via WiFi at the moment I don't get new mail notifications on standby as the WiFi is switched off for battery-saving purposes. Just want to know whether the connection is kept alive via cellular data (which would imply the heartbeat also gets sent via cellular data).
