WARNING, DO NOT RESTORE/UPGRADE YOUR 3GS

Here is the official comment:

Apple has stopped signing iPhone OS 3.1.2. This means that those with an iPhone 3GS or iPod touch 3 who did not use Cydia to store their TSS cannot restore to anything but OS 3.1.3.

If you fall into that category, Big Boss warns to please make sure you are very careful with what you do from now until the next jailbroken firmware. Be sure that you don't do anything to your iPhone that may require a restore.

You may want to install OpenSSH and learn how to use it so certain repairs can be performed without a restore.

iPhone 3g and 2g users do not need to worry about this.

3g / 2g users need not worry as you dont need Apple to sign your firmware files.

Also, do not upgrade to 3.1.3 as there isn't a jailbreak out at the moment for it.

Hmm @avdp.. I was JUST about to post the above that no one attempts to restore to 3.1.2 or upgrade to 3.1.2 from a 3GS for the above reason (apple have stopped signing 3.1.2 firmwares for 3GS)

What exactly did you do advp so we can try help you? If it's something that required a restore, you'll only be able to restore to 3.1.3 now unfortunately. Unless you had your 3.0 SHSH key stored in Cydia, then you can go back to that I think

DFU mode/recovery mode will sort you out, but only to 3.1.3 (no jailbreak available at this time) or 3.0 (if you had the key stored in Cydia)

Recovery Mode
DFU Mode

To make matters a little better, according to geohot, the 3.1.3 jailbreak is easy... So if you don't mind waiting it out a few days i'm sure we will see a new blackra1n version which supports 3.1.3 ;)

for some iPod Touches yeah. which iPod touch do you have?

IF it's a 1G then you can jailbreak
If it's a 2G with a serial number NOT starting with MCxxxx then you can jailbreak.

If it's ANY iPod Touch 3G, or an iPod Touch 2G WITH serial number of MCxxx then you can't jailbreak.

Qoute from blog.iphone :

"WARNING! At 10.30AM PST on February 2nd 2010 Apple released the 3.1.3 version (7E18) of the iPhoneOS.

If you care about your jailbreak and unlock, don’t update your device - 3G and 3G(S) owners should pay particular attention to this warning.
PwnageTool and redsn0w are not yet compatible with 3.1.3
There is no estimated release time for compatible tools (please don’t bug us about this).
Any information we have regarding this update will be posted here.

Hmm that last sentence of mine was worded pretty badly.

I have edited it accordingly.

If you have ANY iPod Touch 3G (the new version on their site), it WONT work. DO NOT try.

If you have a iPod Touch 2G starting with serial "MC..." then it WONT work either.

New 3GS Jailbreak is out via Snowbreeze... still only works on devices that were jail breakable before!

Dunno if this has been asked before but can someone plz provide me with a link to sync an iPhone with any/multiple computer under iTunes 9...

I tried this http://www.andrewgrant.org/2008/03/30/how-to-sync-an-iphone-with-two-or-more-computers.html and had weird things happens (can't recall exactly) and in the end I just gave up on the idea. There may be comments that help out with what I had (I vaguely recall it was not doing the same thing on both machines when I synced eg removing apps when syncing on the other machine), dunno, check it out.
