The Offical PSL Thread

Speaking of Tso when is the MAN coming out on this age cheat problem:D

You make a good point there. The man was married with children but he was still featuring for the under 20's, makes you think doesn't it? :D

Dude, even though I like EPL, Serie A and LaLiga, I just don't feel the same passion I feel about watching games between Chiefs/ Sundows / Pirates.

Also watching Golden Arrows on their day makes you proud to be South African. I have goose pimples just thinking about the prospect of Sundowns (my team, btw) facing them on Saturday. I watched them demolish Ajax CT the other day and I thought to myself why aren't any of these boys selected for Bafana?

Pirates are not on their best this year. I'm kinda disappointed about Cosmos being at the bottom. Jomo Sono puts so much effort and heart into his team and being a club with PSL history, I'd think that they would be doing well. Another shocker is AmaZulu. I thought that they were going to get a top 8 position quite comfortably with Tovey as the coach. Santos I think will be a challenge this year. (my most underrated team)

Im also dissapointed with Cosmos :( The league is always better with Jono there and it looks like he is going straight back to NFD.Santos are dangerous on thier day like they showed Pirates but i dont see them challenging for the league. SSU or Sundowns will fix them up :p But i dont know hey - i think our league is one of the most challenging leagues in the world. one day you can be bottom of the log and you get 3 points and suddenly you 10th

Results from yesterday:

Jomo Cosmos 1 - 2 Moroka Swallows Rand Stadium
Free State Stars 0 - 1 Kaizer Chiefs Charles Mopeli Stadium
Santos 4 - 0 Maritzburg Utd Coetzenburg Stadium
Golden Arrows 1 - 0 Mamelodi Sundowns Chatsworth Stadium
SuperSport United 4 - 2 AmaZulu Loftus Stadium
Platinum Stars 3 - 1 Bidvest Wits Royal Ba***eng Stadium

Seems Wits and Pirates have issues of late. SS United are running with it for the 3rd straight time.

Told you, never underestimate Santos

Santos are just on a brilliant run at the moment but Supersport would probably stop them dead.
i dont think SSU can be stopped.even with Pelembe sold to Sundowns the team just keeps going and going.if they dont slip up soon and the rest of the teams keep on performing the way they do the season will be over with 3 games to go and no one wants that :p

Today its Pie-rats and Celtic...should be great! Lets see if Pirates can bounce back and still contend for the title but Celtic arent gonna be a walk over. Modise is NOwhere near last seasons form. We need a good performance from and to see him with confidence again - 2010 is just around the corner

Chiefs dump Orlando Stadium for Loftus

http://www.sowetan.co.za/News/Article.aspx?id=1087317

Best decision for chiefs. F@^& Pie Rats for following us wherever we go. Look at what they did to Johannesburg Stadium. When chiefs played there, the pitch was superb. Same with Ellis park. Now Orlando. Aarrggh!!!

Khoza initially refused to move to Orlando when stadium management requested them to, because he owns shares in the ellis park company. Chiefs moves there, suddenly PIE Rats decides to tag along also. Makes my blood boil!!!!

Can't wait for us to move to Soccer city!!!!!

nah man its shocking to change home grounds now..... the point of playing at home is meant to be an advantage but chopping and changing never helps.

I agree, but have you seen the pitch at Orlando? It looks bad man. In the end, somebody had to come to this decision, and we all know it was never gonna be Khoza. You cannot have two teams using the same venue week in week out, more especially in such a congested season as the current one, and still expect the wuality of the pitch to remain the same. IT's important from a presentation point of view to have a good pitch if you want clubs to play a good brand of football. I hate Pie rats!!!!:D

well its probably better for me aswell if i wanna go watch games at Loftus..... got arrested when i went to Derby in Orlando :D lol

ya... but supersport is more consistent than the others and thats also in favour of them

I was very disppointed with Chiefs' result. I had hoped they would be able to stop the runaway train. SuperSport has been the only team to mange to put together 3 wins in row this season.
But then I noticed that they haven't travelled lately, all their past 3 games have been in PTA, and guess what their next game is also at home to Celtic. Very very strange

once again Sundowns flop to close the gap on Supersport ... this league is so unpredictable . i would NEVER bet money on it :p

Sheesh dude why pick on Sundowns... this league is tough...as Supersport will soon find out.

My predictions for end of season
1. Sundowns
2. Santos
3. Supersport
4. Chiefs
5. Pirates
6. Celtic
7. Ajax
8. Platinum Stars
