The Offical PSL Thread

Sheesh dude why pick on Sundowns... this league is tough...as Supersport will soon find out.

My predictions for end of season
1. Sundowns
2. Santos
3. Supersport
4. Chiefs
5. Pirates
6. Celtic
7. Ajax
8. Platinum Stars

I pick on Sundowns because they seem to be the only team that can challenge of late.Look at what Supersport did to Chiefs..... rinsed them. and i think im gonna put money on Supersport to win the league for a 3rd straight season.I mean they still have a decent league and its in thier own hands now to lose.Sunfloppers will lose to a Maritzburg or Black Aces or even Cosmos...just wait and see

Sundowns FTW...
The only team to have managed a hattrick of league titles will be the ones to stop SS.

Relegation is pretty much settled.
Promotion however will be
Bay United
Nathi Lions

Shut up. I'm taking this league for the third time. It will continue till 2015.

Supersport drew again!
Lets see if the other so called 'contenders' actually win tomorrow and gain some ground

What did I tell you? The preasure of being at the top is beginning to tell on SS.

The only downside is that they drew against fellow title contenders (AJAX). That does not help the situation and it makes it worse that Sundowns face Santos  a draw would mean no harm is done to SS's lead. A Santos win will be good for the league as they will narrow the gap to 4 points.

I've been away for a while, nice to see this thread still going. I went to the PSL game in PE on Friday the 20th of November, and it was I great experiance. Sitting with my some friends, a white guy and another indain guy, seemed strange to some people, one guy took pictures of us, lol.

Just kidding. Who was playing?

Probably should have included that in the first post:o.

Santos 'hosted' Kaizer Chiefs at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium (PE's 2010 stadium). There were bo venues available in Cape Town (pitch work and stadium construction), so they brought the game to PE.

The turnout was decint, about 10 000.

...you witnessed the robbery of Santos first hand ? :D

And did you enjoy the game? Celtics is playing Chiefs on the 12th and I hope they can pick up all the 9 points before that game. Chiefs is becoming unpredictable. :D

Sadly yes. Stadium management didn't show the replay on the screen, but I saw that ball go in the net. The place was packed with Chiefs supporters though, so they didn't seem to mind.

I enjoyed the game, but I still wish the stadium would be used better. The turnstiles aren't beeing used yet, so we are forced to enter through cargo containers, and tickets are hand torn. I would prefer reserved seating, but understand it isn't the norm in the PSL.

Also, for some reason a PSL game gets worse treatment than the SA vs Japan game. They didn't use the electronic sign boards or electronic 4th offical's board, instead using old ones. The benchs also weren't the nice FIFA ones that SA and Japan got. Instead they had plastic chairs place at the side of the field.

The turnout wasn't great at 10 000, but the stadium didn't feel completely empty. The main thing was lack of marketing. Too many people didn't know about the game.

Overall it was nice to experiance though.

Having dealt with the PSL, the lack of some of those things is becuase of their bad organisation of the event.

Hi Guys,

I am going for my 1st PSL game this sunday when Chiefs play Maritzburg @ Moses Mabhida!!!

Can't wait to go and I hope the soccer is good!

Okay, so Cosmos registered their second win in 19 games. :D. As for pie_Rats, their fans sould be ashamed of being associated with such a mediocre team!!!!! I mean this is cosmos for goodness' sake. Didn't watch the game. Chiefs vs Amazulu washed out in Pretoria. Anybody know when they've rescheduled this for?

I was wondering why my Pirates supporting friends are quite this morning. :D

worst game Pirates played all season . Benson Mhlongo : main missing factor!
but im stoked for Cosmos :D

but this proves we have one of the most unpredictable leagues in the world...damn!

I repeat, my team is going to win the league for the third time.

Lets close this thread.

3 games called of last night, not cool. My main worry is what the hell is happening at Loftus? The lights failed again last night, someone needs to fixed that, and quickly.
