The Premium PC Games For Free Thread

Hopefully they'll make up with another free game

Damn man, you made me check out Epic’s social media. Lol at the peeps requesting RDR2 and Detroit to be given away

They have around ~250 titles in-store and I believe 80% is eligible to be given away, considering the value, age and playability. The publishers on Epic like to give away older titles when they have announced a new title. Indie devs capitalising on their brand value. Others are upselling their chain in Epic, distributing their buyer base between the online marketplaces. This all with Epic taking 20% and less when they are using Unreal Engine.

It is a big ask to have a new title dropped as a giveaway unless there are other ways to monetise the title like in-game purchases which doesn't go down that well with the masses.

Thanks for the updates guys. :)
It's easier for me to check this thread than to scope around online.
Don't really have to scope around though. GOG has their announcements. So does Humble if you're subscribed to the newsletter. Epic is pretty predictable. Only really the Steam giveaways you have to forage for.

Yes, I know that's true. What I meant was that it's just easier to see the updates of new free premium Games here.
I can see quicker what I'd like to try out, rather than reading the newsletters or browse the respective websites.
I suffer from lack of data syndrome. It's a very bad illness that many South African's still battle with today.
They say there is no cure currently, but I'm keeping hope though :D

Yeah I know. It's nice having Backstreetboy do the work and then just click on the links.

Have to say some nice freebies lately. Things on GOG I would really like to try out. Yooka-Laylee looks like it has some elements of Sonic.
