Been almost 2 weeks since I inoculated my jars. Only yesterday did I see my 1st mycelium, only it looks like it has green in it too :-( I've moved that jar out the house for now.

The only thing I didn't do right was flaming the needle. I figured a new needle would come sanitized. So next time I'll be flaming it between jars.

How many jars do you guys use per syringe?

If you are only seeing growth after two weeks it might be that you injected too little mycelium. It's a balance between having sufficient mycelium to colonize quicker than anything else and trying to stretch a syringe into as much jars as possible. I would start with 1cc per jar squirted in maybe three or four different spots. Agar is another step that can reduce the chances of contamination entering your jars. As for the needles they're usually sterilized and then sealed, you want to sterilize again between each jar though.
 
It has been a month since I placed my order and Sporespot has not shipped them yet. Very disappointed. Won't be using them again.

You should follow up once they're open, I've ordered with them last on Black Friday and received it within a couple of days as always.

I used a 10ml syringe, divided over 4 holes in 6 x 320ml jars. Would I preferred slightly smaller jars but anyway.
Tried to keep the temperature between around 21 to 27 degrees C.

The rest was pretty standard. Vermiculate, brown rice flour, water in the correct ratios. Pressure cooked the jars. etc.
The mix looked a little dry after the pressure cooker, but I'm not sure if that is even possible.

Have followed up with them 3 times. Each time they just say I must be patient.

Literally over a month now.
 
Also, the only kind of trip I'm doing this year is the trip home to London. I moved my flight to tomorrow because of lockdown level 3. Want to leave before it gets any worse. Plus it means there is nothing for me to do.

So, I didn't manage to order from KK (or anyone else) while in SA. It just didn't work out. But that's okay.

What's going to happen with your order once they actually deliver, are you forwarding it to the UK?
 
Guys I have a question, how do know who to trust or is it simply a gamble on here?
 
But the main concern would be getting arrested. How likely is it you'd get arrested from activities discussed on this platform?
Keep in mind that we're South Africa lol
