The truth about Openweb

Reckon Keoma has made a strategic retreat ..... :p

There are lots of little lovely pieces of techno-gossip about that site, some quite telling! He's used a bought generic design as the contact us shows

The package naming convention is also very OWish already. And lastly...okay I feel slightly bad about this....but wasn't there a bit of a period where people where arguing over whether MrBeep/Cableguy/Keoma were all the same person? There is a bit of telling evidence right here http://co.za/cgi-bin/whois.sh?Domain=openweb , although balls to the walls do I feel guilty about how much information I can dig up from that site sometimes.

OW site is just openweb.co.za and not www.

but I get a certificate error

While it is true many SA web hosts skimp on providing www and native http domains this is NOT the case with openweb. Both ping to the same IP and direct attempts to either https://openweb.co.za or https://www.openweb.co.za BOTH lead to the same strange shell of hosting provider.

Rather amusing how in the past when Openweb service threads popped up the OPs were constantly flamed, now everyone has done an about turn.

I've always supported these threads when they popped up, as OW also burned me years ago, around 2009 (4mb Gold Original).

This is true hey. TBH my service is still running pretty well all things considered. Guess I'm sharing with a nice granny. :p
