The ZAR Exchange Rate Thread

The uneducated seem to forget that the ZAR is influenced by international movements too, not just domestic fluctuations.

Rand dips, they immediately cry ANC or Zuma. :rolleyes:
Whatever it is - it's ZA side not international:

Think it's got more to do with the Strong Dollar and the Oil Price surging. Rand is stable from what I can see.

Down ~0.8% against GBP/EUR vs 1.1% USD. So more rand weakness than dollar strength.
 
Since I had this open anyway...eur/gbp/usd vs zar

Anyone know what cause the jump midday 23rd?

12,43 South African Rand


Still weakening. Approaching R1 lost this month alone
