This is the One.

*vigorous head shake* .... and it's not from not wanting to. I would fsckin love to play around and learn sh*t but I don't want to take the chance :o Too much money to perhaps chuck away.

So what all do you get apart from the CPU for that price?!

Intel Core2 Duo processor - 2GB DDR2 667 Ram (I asked for the 800) - 200GB SATA HDD - 20x DL DVDRW - Intel 945GCT chipset mobo (getting a Pearl Creek) - 6ch audio - PCI-E x16 - 4x usb - 4x sata - 10/100 ethernet - 1x serial - 1x parallel - 300W (getting the 600W) - KB and mouse - crappy speakers.

Think thats it ..... blerry text is so small on the ad, lol. :D

Ahhh, well that changes everything! :p

if the GIS software is intensive and handles more than 2 cores, than maybe a quad core might be worthwhile.

If I used it for the more intense side of GIS, I would definately be talking of a quaddie .... but it's only used rarely and then only the database features anyway. :D

Only two RAM slots?? :( How much they want for that or is it part of that whole bundle thing?

It's part of the thing ..... do you think that I would need more than 4gb's of ram though bru?

I am not exactly clued up when it comes to mobos but that one does not look great.

2 RAM slots means no upgrading in the future should you ever want to.

Chances are that 4GB RAM will be more than enough for you though.

Until M$ release the all-new all-powerful Windows 7, needing like 16GB RAM just to run it :o:o

Ag, never been one to really bother about the mobo .... as long as it lasts and gives me no kark, I'm happy. I think the day I do need more than 4gb's of ram is the day I'll just get a new PC :D

(as for the Windows 7 ..... ja, I think I might be getting swayed (brainwashed) into Linux anyway :D)

Well then you should be ok...

Just need to have a look at that bundle deal again to make sure they are not ripping you off there....What all was it again?

And this bundle is how much again?

K, More questions....;)

Does that include the 600W PSU and the DDR800 RAM?

ANd what kind of CPU is it exactly?

An extra R150 for the upgraded PSU (550W not 600W .... I was mistaken), an extra R100 or so for the upgraded RAM and the cpu is an Intel Core2 Duo 1333FSB E8400 (3.0ghz). :D
