I got mine from the Telkom store in Kenilworth Centre.

They gave me a quote of R40.60 per month x 24. Which is cheaper than the advertised R49. No idea why. Will see when the first payment goes off. I think my version is 7.1.2. Don't think you can check in store though. You would need to connect to a tv or monitor to check this....

Regarding the side loading of Netflix and DSTV Now... can you please tell me what versions I need to use and where I can find them? (And how to install?)

Maybe we need to sticky an install guide or something

Should a New thread be started so all the FAQs and hints can be posted because I'm not sure how we are going to get it posted in the first post of the this thread.

A link can be posted to the new thread by the first person who replied to this thread

Not practical to edit the first post and also not allowed to add comments to a news post. Either LCBXX edits and updates his post or he adds a link to a new thread in big bold font.

ok, guys I got my device from N1 City Telkom store and they added it to my account over 24 months.

I have the device up and running, with Netflix, DSTV Now and Supersport installed (side-loaded). It came with Youtube and Showmax installed by default.

I've always disliked the SS app, as they dont update the descriptions in the app for each channel, where in the DSTV Now app, they do.

Tested all the apps and they all working, although Netflix did crash when I exited the app.

BTW - WTF is up with both SS and DSTV Now not allowing you to control quality settings? It's infuriating

ATT Netflix Users

I have side loaded Netflix ver 4.16.200147 and it's working perfectly except for one thing, the sound is on STEREO.

I tried playing a 6-channel file on VLC (installed from google play) and Full DTS is working perfectly. As soon as I close VLC the LIT device defaults to Stereo is would appear, and when you run Netflix with 5.1 content is just plays it in stereo??

:wtf:

edit: I checked the usual settings, all seems good
