Yup, i would also go wired, i just have a standard router and wireless is not great but ok. It stutters for me too when accessing large files via wireless on my media pc. I hooked up to a cable and the issue resolved it self. Rewind and fwd got better too. :)

yeah, every intention of sorting out a wired solution just couldnt be bothered right now while I'm still testing everything

My netflix seems to be working okay no errors yet. Can also confirm kodi working perfect very smooth connected via lan had to many buffering via wifi

not quite that simple. Android is optimised for touch screen devices while android TV works with a remote. Dstv now still needs to be optimised for android tv - at the moment it requires a mouse for optimal use

Not sure why or what’s going on. Box was meant to launch with Netflix and DSTV now official support but clearly something went wrong along the way on Telkom side... ???

Afaik in order for Netflix to endorse a product, they have a bunch of requirements including a dedicated Netflix button on the remote.

So it probably won't be coming preloaded with Netflix any time soon...

Mi box has Netflix, but doesn't have a button

My Shield doesn't have a Netflix button and runs without issue, even came preloaded
 
this gives me hope that Netflix will be supported

From a comment @Zouz made on the mybb article saying a Google Rep said the following.

Never used this device or remote , so cant tell you how. Can someone elaborate?

But if i guess, click on the up button or information button and it will bring up the controls on netflix and an icon should tell you at what quality its playing at.

Not in the side-load verison... no info, no quality settings, nothing!!

Which is why I need official support.... :cry:
