This is the Telkom LIT Android media box

Try Android TV Remote Control/ CetusPlay apps from the Playstore from a phone maybe - maybe easier use of use.
 
can we please add to the guide that until such time as LIT supports Netflix officially, the sound comes through as STEREO if you have your AVR selected to auto.

I have noticed however, that if you manually select the correct sound (DTS, DD, etc) then it DOES actually work... WEIRD!!! :wtf:
 
If Anyone know's what page/post people actually started using this thing on, it would be appreciated. Think we really need to split this thread. 30 pages were questions and Dolby assisting.
Think we need one where all the tips and tricks can be mentioned in the OP so not to search

Can we please just say here that it needs to be side-loaded, and also the quality is SD.

2.DSTV Now Dimming in Full Screen
- Version 1.40.5 of the App doesn't have the dimming issue , but have to use air mouse to switch video to full screen

just add that Version 1.32.2 is capable of HD on the live channels (such as sport) but as soon as you go full screen it dims the screen!

Trying to help collate it all into one place

Done as requested - Thank for the info on that i have mine running through the xbox with passthrough so have no sound issues.

on a side note - i think this is a very good box - Telkom has really done it an injustice by releasing it with the apps not available in app store and having to side load apps. if Telkom comes to the game and gets the software like DSTV now and Netflix to work without side loading, this being R700 cheaper than the Mibox it is a very good deal.

If you don't mind sideloading a few apps and waiting for Telkom to get the app store apps compatibility sorted then this is the box to get. if this is a deal breaker spend the extra R700 and get the Mibox

lets just hope that with official DSTV Now and official Netflix the sound issues will go away and the HD/dimming will be resolved.

Then I will be happy.

On a side-note. Dont use VLC on this box, it doesnt process audio correctly. Use Kodi rather
 
@techead you have been a star with giving updates on this device.
my suggestion start a new thread and copy from the guide what you feel you need and provide the updates.

We then ask a mod to lock this thread and final post in thread to be a link to your new Thread and guide.
hell i will even update my post to link to your thread. :)
