Hey guys

There is a Tuks Linux users group meeting tonight at 7pm. Venue: IT Building 2-24 (second floor - lecture hall 24.):D

Tuks obviously being - UP (University of Pretoria). Its entrance is on the corner of Roper and Lynwood streets.

So for those of you that are keen to attend you are more than welcome.

I found it really interesting. It wasn't so much about the "State of the security world" but rather about cool exploits/hacks from the past 18 months and some of the stuff the he/sensepost was playing around with. Also about 5 people from sensepost was there, so if you wanted to chat to some of the top computer security specialists in SA you also had a chance for that.

I assume Simeon should be putting up the slides and audio from the talk on the tlug.org.za site soonish.
 
As faceless said - was about cool hacks/exploits from the last 18months. Pretty interesting stuff. I really enjoyed it. Some of the exploits were like :O - wow.

There was also quite a lot of discussion around Amazon and their AMI's (I think thats what they are called.) Some stuff about the "cloud" was also discussed.

I learnt plenty of new stuff :)
