Israel was given a share of the land by UN resolution in 1948. Any land that was occupied AFTER that time was fair spoils of war (war that Israel never started).

Israel actually WITHDREW (Gasp! Gasp!) from the Gaza strip two years ago... even incurring the wrath of their own Jewish settlers in the process.
