Virgin GPRS online|offline?

My connection does that as well. Also, when I connect and disconnect, I have to reset my phone before I am able to connect again.

That is a phone problem, not VM's. I also can’t reconnect immediately after I disconnected. All I do is I wait a min and then I can connect again. No resetting for me.

How can it be a phone problem if my phone only does it on VM and not on Vodacom? :confused:

The waiting a minute also works, but resetting my phone is faster.

Your Phone is still loading data from the SIM. This happens to me when I turn on my phone and immediately want to access my sms's or phone book. I just wait a moment and then it works again.
 
Guys. Are you also having problems with uploading pics? Mine just loads and loads and loads..nothing happens
 
ag endless probs on virgin lately... for the last 2 weeks, my connection keeps on dying during the most of the day. If this is the way vorgin does business, they should leave the country, coz i will be moving back to Voda/MTN
 
I honestly don't think I had a more reliable data network with Vodacom. Not to say I'm not annoyed with VM.

The most common reason is a loose sim.

Is it actually sending data? If not then it is waiting for confirmation that the data was sent successfully which it will never receive since a packet was lost. If it is sending data then it is constantly resending data and never gets confirmation because either the sent packets get lost or the received packets. It don't think you can have such an unreliable connection to cause the latter. Are you sure you have airtime? ;)

It is sending data. But like. When I update my Avvie via a forum's control panel it just loads and loads and loads but nothing happens. I don't get a confirmation that the profile has been updated. But when I go look at one of my posts my avvie is updated. So. When I use Imageshack the same thing happens but I don't get the page that gives me the link to the Image.

Are you using Opera? Sometimes when I post something the confirmation gets lost and Opera will just wait forever instead of resending it. Then I repost and end up with a double or even triple post. This also happen when I would load a page and it would just hang.
 
I also sometimes get that. I am unable to change my sig on this forum at all at the moment. When I update it, the page loads to 8% with Opera and then just stops. When I check my sig, it hasn't been updated.
