Vodacom activates WiFi calling for iPhone?

I'm sure I have made a call over LTE already though on prepaid.

Here are the steps I followed:

1) Go to Settings > Phone > Wi-Fi Calling (turn toggle on)
2) Reboot phone
3) You should see Vodacom VoWiFi icon now

(iPhone 6s contract)

If it is working on prepaid for some of the peeps here it should definately be working on top up contracts. If you have done the carrier update and still having no luck, PM me your number so I can check if you have been provisioned for Volte.

Help me understand the benefits of wifi calling please? Is it cheaper? Is call quality better (what if my wifi is hooked up to a 1Mb adsl line)?

mmm gosh, then I dont know. Check in your data settings that it is set to voice and data, and not just data
Once that is done, make sure your vowifi setting is also enabled
 
Mmm I am on the uChoose Flexi plan and I don't seem to get this either. Spoke to the call centre now to try and see if my sim is provisioned for VoLTE, but they don't seem to know what it is and just says LTE is enabled..and Voice mail is enabled. :/

Urg. PM me your number and I will check if it is provisioned. If it is, I dont know how to fix this issue, as some people seem to have it provisioned, but it is not working on their Iphones. But I can at least check if it is provisioned or not on the system for you, instead of just telling you LTE is on and voice mail is on. honestly. /sigh
 
Been able to get this to work on other contracts as VIP etc but on the uChoose 350 it wont work. Maybe its just on selected contracts
