I have just called 155 again and they tell me that my complaint is still open, BUT THAT THERE IS NO RECORD OF ANYTHING HAVING BEEN DONE IN THE PAST THREE WEEKS!

Excellent!!

Those are the speeds that I am paying for, but not getting! :(

the speeds have been crap the last couple of weeks but today they are actually better... just download the new NXE for my xbox and it took less than 2 minutes :D
hopefully it will b like this from now on...

Yes Vodacom I am asking the same question: What is the problem with vodacom HSDPA?
The system background to my question as follow;
1- My system working at 100%
1.1- We can download any file from local and international sites at good speeds.
1.2- We can TX/RX emails no problems.
2- As of late yesterday afternoon the problems appear.
2.1- We can only do downloads from www.vodacom.co.za (Firmware/software) and TX/RX Emails.
2.2- Tried to download from international sites and the system goes there and just hangs in anticipation of the download.
3- Use the system with ADSL and all problems are in the past.

We have contacted 155 but the 24hour wait!!!!!!!!!(We know that they will try and blame my system settings etc. but nothing has changed on my system.
I repeat my question:What is the problem with vodacom HSDPA???

VodacomData,

Can you please do something about my complaint which is now a month old?

This is the best I get this morning:

Last Result:

Download Speed: 131 kbps (16.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 653 kbps (81.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

I spend a lot of money with VC every month and I really believe that I/we deserve better!

Thanks,

Steinie

PS: I have just used my 7.2 handset to connect and do a speed test to make absolutely sure that the problem is not my datacard. The results are the same! :o

*BUMP* for VodacomData

Hey

Chandre` tried calling you twice and left you a vm message did you not get this message ?

Regards
VodacomData

My phone has not rung once today and there was no VM alert.

Just checked 121 and, yes, there was a message from Chandré. I sincerely hope they sort this out once and for all.

Speeds are back to the 1.8 level after hitting an all-time low this morning.

Thanks, Morné!

my feeling with these 155 ppl and other similar call centre types is that they have some stoopid checklist they have to take you through, even though they know exactly whats happening in your area. if you know that the pretoria area is having a specific problem, why dont u come out clearly up front and stop this "your system" cr@p.

posted it in another thread...

What i did not know, was that alternatively to add/aid 155 vc setup other channels for customer complaints on their web site "www.vodacom.co.za"
(Never tried it, but i surely will in future)

Thought i'd post it:

Things are looking up!

Not yet what it used to be but ...

Download Speed: 2121 kbps (265.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1165 kbps (145.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

Haven't had any further feedback from VC, though. Are they still working on it? Will it improve further? Or, is that it?
