Vox Fibre Feedback

Strange issue with VOX and my internet speeds. Current package is 100/100 and was "upgraded" to 200/200

Couple of months ago, router gave up after a round of loadshedding and was replaced by VOX (Don't think it was a new device). Now with the free speed upgrades, I'm not getting anything above 100Mps, logged multiple calls, spoke to some technicians and they first advised it was a provisioning issue with Vumatel, they logged a request to fix it, after that they said I needed to replace my LAN cable from ONT to router as that was the problem, done that but still the same issue.

Bear in mind, when we got the free upgrades during lockdown, I got the 200/200 speeds with no issues, only thing changed in that time is the router.

So question, could it be the "new" router that could be the issue?

If I remember correctly, the Internet address acquisition is set to automatic
FNO? Maybe it's locked to the mac address? Try rebooting ONT? PC LAN TCPIP set to auto?

I'm on MFN and AH, my router is set to DHCP in which case if yours is the same then there are no PPPoE passwords to dial, but in my case I have to run the AH activation wizard which pops up when I try and browse to activate the new mac address:

Will give that a try, on the line with VOX now, trying to sort out another issue

Just to add, this is what I can see regarding the speed "advertising" on the router. All the WAN/Ethernet ports only showing 100 but Ether4 shows it's 1Gbs

Turns out there was/is an issue with port 1 on the ONT itself. VOX techie reconfigured to use port 2 on ONT and now I'm getting the full speeds on all ports.

Thanks for the suggestions/feedback guys, much appreciated

Just noticed I now have a 100/100 line... did they upgrade us again?
