Vox Telecom Fatpipe

I'm not touching the modem, I only have about 80GB left and a friend just told me today I can have his 1TB since he doesn't have internet.

Same happened to me. Myself and my bud got tv's at same time now im destroying 2TB of data. If only it works like unshaped account. Avg dl on 20meg line about 300kb
 
Vox is borked at the moment. Internet seems fine, but their domain is down, call center as well, and my email box has gone crazy. :(

I think that's a you issue not a Vox issue, I've never seen less than line speed on anything ever with Vox, currently doing 1MB/s

I really want to know how you came up with that theory. If you read the previous posts on this thread you will get a clear picture that I'm not the only one experiencing degraded service.

On a 40meg line... Vox fatpipe varies between 10 and 20 megs.. Sometimes I get 25/26mbps if I'm lucky on vox.

Change to Webafrica or Crystal web... 36mbps...
 
Well mine is full speed all the time and it's free so I'm a happy chappie. Depending on how much I use and if I get the other 1TB i will have saved close to R6000.

Also, You have a 10Meg Line?

Torrents, NNTP, gaming and streaming all perfect for me with Vox, only issue I had was on the 1st of the first two months I used the account I was "capped".

300kBps on a 20Mbps line can't be right, unless it only started this week when other users also complained about issues.

At the end of last month when I still had an account torrents were performing at 1/4-1/2 speed over the weekend, but news was full speed, switch over to the backup account and shaping would be removed on p2p.
 
Vox support called me last night to advise me there are issues currently on their network (outages) My internet was still working although not to full potential.
 
My NNTP is still screwed(less than 200KB/s on 20meg vdsl).
I have to send traceroutes to vox support to compare vox vs the other providers.
I am thinking of cancelling but I have 300GB and I cant download anything fast enough to use up my cap.
 
Apple Appstore downloads are painfully slow. Downloading at a few kb/s on a 10MB line. Fatpipe Capped.
 
anyone else having issues connecting to vox this morning .. my router simply does not connect to it. backup accounts are just fine.
