I get the feeling someone broke the POP3 shaper today... E-mails are coming through VERY slowly on Thunderbird and I've dealt with no less than four connectivity errors in the last five or six hours.

WebAfrica, c'mon :/

Again, this problem isn't on any other accounts/networks.

Oddly last night was great for me, this morning is trash so far. Currently getting a measly 40KBps if I'm lucky.
 
I'm waiting to see how this performs in case I decide to jump over. I'm not impressed by this hiccup.
 
I must be the only person enjoying this uncapped account it seems.

I have not had any problems with the account at all, it is always flying for me. I wonder if it's a province issue maybe? I am in Cape Town.

They haven't issued a proper explanation, but it could be that they downloaded a lot and are in a pool that is being throttled. Prior promises were that this is a very rare occurence because the service supposedly had a lot of capacity.
 
I have been throttled before while going over the 6 hour rolling window threshold.

Only thing I saw is that my speeds dropped to that of a 3mb line and not a 4mb line. I could still play xbox live fine and streaming etc. was also still working. My upload speeds were unaffected. I saw this while ftp'ing work related stuff up.

Maybe I'm jinxing myself here ...

I wouldn't bargain on that. So far WA has gone back to old tactics, silent mode. Could one ask for ask for money back or a part of that?

Seems that WA was and still is not ready for uncapped ;)
 
Morning guys,

Sorry, had a half day booked today - not intentional to keep things quiet.
The capacity is there, and graphings on my end aren't showing and issues on our end.

I've read through the pages from yesterday and will pass this onto Networking to have a look into.
 
Using services like Video Streaming, Gaming and even Music stream is still impossible.

I havent been able to use this account to its full potential since the beginning of this month.
 
Everything still fine for me. Totally happy with the 4MB uncapped.

One of the reasons I left another "uncapped ISP" some time back. Some folks were able to DL the entire interwebz, whilst others could hardly manage to DL a ringtone. Hope this is not a trend busy developing :o

Yup.. I've been throttled twice, it wasn't terrible but if you are downloading something don't expect to browse (while throttled). If I have torrents/big downloads going during the non download plus hours I just cap them to 85kB/sec (total) which keeps me under the limits, allows me to do my work and stream 5fm. I just set everything to unlim. speeds during d+.
 
For me everything is working 100% Everything is fast! Well done - the extra capacity seems to have done the trick.
 
I am currently a satisfied WA Titan customer, but will probably switch to 4mbps uncapped once I get that programming job.
Now that I am on a 4mbps line, I wouldn't want to go back to something slower.
 
It Really gets bad in the Evenings and what gets me is we that are abiding by the rules are the ones that Dont have a stable service.
