Where is this now? haven't noted that yet, only reason I use it is because of "futuremark cheating/optimizations" with other speed tests.

Let me guess you are referring to the add link that I'm missing because of ABP, if that is the case then we should also be alert of mybroadband, they also use CDN for adds :rolleyes:

Account is working so well that I'm buying R100 worth of afrihost data to download mission critical work for tomorrow morning. I'm a bit frustrated at this point.
 
How is the speed during download plus hours? Is it actually full speed or has anyone found it to be slower than usual?

Well, my brilliant day is pretty much over. Trying to stream a video on Kotaku and it's just not happening.

Getting kind of tired of this.

I guess I'm just waiting until the 15th and hoping to get some stability.

Again, when this product works, it's absolutely perfect. Times like now? It's over-priced ****. Still hoping this gets sorted because if this is how it is when you're NOT throttled, I really don't want to see what it's like when you are.

Edit: Skype's been refusing to go higher than 25kB/s. I suppose I should be grateful that at least it isn't below 10kB/s. Even Steam refused to download faster than 45kB/s tonight. Yay...

Ditto. If i check the megs dl during download plus hours, it is worse than during the day. So it must be throttled during those hours.
 
This is crazy the 6 hour limit. I kill it without even looking. Download 1 steam game.. 900 megs.. bam!

Ok.. so I'm throttled.. 50% line speed. My question, as I understood, you will only be throttled if you over limit AND the network is busy? By the looks of it.. I'm being throttled everytime when I go over my threshold... or the network is 99.99% busy.. because I get throttled every damn time.

Am I wrong?

It sounds like they misled potential customers and are just repeating the IS fiasco where people were throttled early.

Luckily can cancel at the end of the month. With this rate I'm done at the end of the month. Rather pay extra... and know what you get.

Still on 50% of line speed. 9:40pm on a Saturday .. the network is still busy!

my line running at 50% speed and I've been throttled (according to their limits). Browsing is spot on...kudos to WA.

oh and so far:
Total Usage: 67.00GB (1 Mbps line) - excludes freezone content.

Is that the usuage for 11 days? Wow are u downloading constantly? That must mean you are in the throttled pool all the time

67 Gig in 11 days ? Fck.. I can't even get 4 gig per day
 
I've done 25GB in the last 11-days which is pretty normal for me, which is all well and good since I average 120GB per month (I don't torrent or use news servers, for the record).

However, the performance has been absolutely godawful for the most part. Things that should take 5-minutes to download instead take an hour (Vimeo, MegaVideo). Other things which should be running at 1080p can't be watched at anything higher than 320p lest it be unwatchable. And Skype video calls don't often stream faster than 30kB/s which is not ideal.

But once again... When it works as expected it's an absolutely flawless and wonderful product. That's just nowhere near often enough.
 
Hey! I wanna know if I get the 384Kbps package I will get full speed all the time? Thats what we need fsk shaping . We already got enough cables. And drop the prices. yoyoyo

He he.. Same. I upgraded to 1 meg 1 month ago. Now I'm back to 384 speeds 90% of time ...
