Cant get more than 90KB/s from WA news server anytime of the day. Under threshold. This is disappointing. Logged ticket for speeds being slow and the guy asks me to provide trace routes. I dont know how for a news server

It turns out that there is a problem on the WA news server according to one of their reps. Today I cant even stream music.

This is really getting ridiculous.
 
Well I'm getting a "alt.binaries.teevee does not exist on the server" tonight.

The rep said last night their engineers picked up an issue. Last night was slow for me.
 
Can someone please explain how the rolling threshold works?
It seems that I am always throttled. My 6 hour usage is 0.32 GB although the usage monitor shows I have used 130MB from midnight until now ( 9:00 AM). I am on 384kbps.


From when until when does the 6 hour period stretch?
 
only problem i had was with LOL, seems if me and my cousin play together we get lagg, if we play one at time its fine :/

afrihost both played fine, remember on mweb i could also :(

I am unable to to use the WA news server today.Do you know if there has been any configuration changes that would cause the news server to not work and if you do not know of any can find out?

This issue is the same issue that I am having.

LOL seems to lag when playing with more than two players on a 4Mbps uncapped line.
 
All been well here. YouTube vids download a bit slowly for anything higher than 360p and buffer a fair bit. Non-YouTube streams still a bit temperamental. There's a curious "freeze up" with HTTP every so often where websites refuse to load for 30-seconds or so and sometimes timeout, but VOIP (Skype) remains perfect and unhindered.

Apart from that, no issues, and certainly no major ones.

I'm having problems with the WA news server. I'm using grabit but I tried SABnzbd & even that stopped working.

From grabit I get " alt.binaries.teevee does not exist on this server" error

I logged a ticket on the website but I am getting nowhere with them because everytime a different rep replies and say they will give me feedback later. I still havent got proper feedback since the weekend.
 
news server working again.WAjeff, can you provide feedback of this if possible? thanks

Can the guys who are having/ had issues with the news server please drop me a PM with their client codes and any relevant ticket ref #'s - I'll have a follow up from there :)
 
hmmm wow is very spikey atm, unplayable , feels like 3g in a rainstorm, line seems to be fine though.
 
So far the speed is a bit disappointing

I just transferred from Telkom's 3-month uncapped trial to WA 1Mbps Home uncapped. On the Telkom line I was consistently getting around 90 KBps, which is what I would expect, but this is not the case with WA. See below

Are there still problems with WA connectivity?
