Doesn’t mean anything as I can’t even stream a 6gb file on RD.

Anyone else having weird issues with YouTube this morning? Things seem fine otherwise but YouTube will only play 10 seconds or so on 144p without buffering.

But yet Speedtest thinks things are just fine.

We’re seeing some chatter on the NAP Africa Mailing lists about this. Not seeing issues from desktop tests, but received a report of mobile users being affected. A few of us have sent Google NOC an email. In the meanwhile, we’ve changed our announces to a google cache we have access to to include CPT prefixes. This should be favoured in a few minutes. Please check again and let me know if that helped.

yeah, a stream from Pretoria this morning was broken into multiple sessions as it was terminated several times during the streaming.

Sorry was out so couldn’t test again, back now. Still the same, pretty much unwatchable. Bounced the link too just in case, no change.

Working with Google NOC on this one. Getting varying results on tests from different devices, so seems to be an encoding delivery issue.

Cool, thanks so much for this.
As a test I tried desktop YouTube and definitely works 100% so localized to mobile as you say.

To be honest, I had issues yesterday morning on my smart tv, and phone , thought it was just the tv acting up, as it was fine on the pc
