In the meanwhile, EASSy will be able to handle the added pressure - It did so very well earlier this year. Please be patient as the various engineers work some routing and load balancing magic.

At this point, it looks like we're tinkering, our transit providers are tinkering and so on and so forth - basically too many cooks in the kitchen. We've picked pretty much the best we can find with EASSy under pressure. Transit providers are working to improve matters now. Will continue following up to ensure we're back up to normal ASAP.

NAP saw an increase in traffic volume of almost 30% yesterday. (https://ix.nap.africa/statistics/ixp) These increases are pretty much identical on transit and I think EASSy is under more pressure than ever. Traffic volumes are about 35-40% higher than they were in January. So really not an ideal time for an outage on WACS.



Our asia routes via SAFE are still flying, so please take advantage of these if your games allow. We're doing everything we can to get East coast traffic to EU and onwards via EASSy normalised.

They are jumping all over the place now.

Yeah, seeing this now. I've escalated to China Telecom - this traffic should return via SAFE, but it doesn't look like it is.

Free Home Fibre Speed Upgrades:

Web sQuad will be upgrading speeds for all clients on the following networks at no cost on April 1st for the full months of April and May 2020.

• Link Africa
• Octotel (This is a Web sQuad initiative)
• We're waiting for clarity on a few other networks.

Full Ts and Cs will be published and emails will be sent to our clients over the weekend to clear up the initiative details.

Considering wacs went down, tonight was ok, especially with so many being on line with the lock down, obviously don't get the usual ping to the uk and the likes, but I got no disconnects and was able to game and hold bossing events in game without much impact, there was some, but not a huge impact, thank you for always trying your best in the most trying of times at the moment.

I think they need to unplug 2020 and restart the year, has so far been an exceptionally trying year, but here is to the year end bringing wonderful things
