Update: CPT- our one NLD vendor scheduled some maintenance between 3 and 6am. However things have not gone well on their upgrades and they are currently working on this. Our alternative NLD path Is also showing issues. We are investigating this.

We are working to re-route traffic quickly and restore services to 100%. Eta. 30 mins.

Thanks. That makes sense. I noticed at 03h00

@websquadza I am in JHB and my international is still dead, your updates indicate only CPT should be down. Support ticket #792289

This is the re-routing part of my message above, we carry a lot of our own transit between CPT and JHB on our NLD paths (both to optimise routing QOS). Busy moving this over to JHB and altering advertisements at the moment.

Update: Services are slowly restoring, transit volumes are picking up.

CPT NLD is still an issue, awaiting feedback from engineers.

Yeah stuff is coming up:thumbsup:

Was wondering what tripped up my monitors at ~3:00,now I know

@websquadza The high latency to Germany is still an issue though.
Code:
# ping -c 5 speed.hetzner.de
PING speedtest.your-server.de (88.198.248.254) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from nbg.icmp.hetzner.com (88.198.248.254): icmp_seq=1 ttl=45 time=297 ms

Would this be affecting Octotel clients? PPPoE still unable to connect.

Unfortunately yes, our CPT radius server seems unable to proxy to the main server JHB to authenticate requests. We'll re-look at how we route that auth traffic once this is resolved to ensure we don't have an issue like this again. Update on NLD - one provider is still dragging their feet, Other provider has identified the issue to a switch in CPT. They are moving traffic to another switch. Should be resolved asap.

We are seeing traffic in CPT (intl and local) as well as JHB.

Will get onto this with upstreams as soon as current issues are resolved. Flooding them with tickets only causes confusion.
