Just read this article, will Websquad be participating in this? How does it work for those who went for the booster package upgrade?

Yes, Web sQuad is offering free upgrades for existing clients. We launched a promo with Vumatel on Wednesday that gives you your first two invoices for free if you sign up with us before 30 April 2020 (this includes migrations). And Vumatel upped the ante today with complimentary speed upgrades for existing clients starting on 1 April 2020. This complimentary upgrade will run between 1 April and 31 May 2020. During this period, you will be able to request a free upgrade to the next package up at no cost. Our commercial team are finalising this and will send out correspondence in due course.

StepUp clients will also receive this benefit.

On a side note, upgrades are a manual process with Vumatel (unless they somehow automate this for ISPs), and with the large number of clients expected to request this, please be patient as we process upgrades.

Awesome, you can switch mine on so long then for the upgrade :D

wait, so if i'm on 100/100, can i upgrade to 200 for the same price as the 100? for how long will this be valid ( in duration ) or is it just for May that the amount will be reduced?

Will ask an SDM to call you.

That's right, so for the price of 100 Mbps, you'll get 200 Mbps at no additional cost. (if you're on a 100/10, you get 200/20, and 100/100 > 200/200). This will only run for 2 months (April and May).

"1Gbps customers will not receive a speed upgrade, as this is the maximum line speed. "

Dangit.. was wondering if we were gonna get 10 gig :laugh::laugh:

PS. Yes I know the infrastructure probably can't cope.

OK.. real issue. For the last few days youtube takes probably 10 seconds before it starts.... and then it starts on the lowest quality setting. Putting it manually on the highest setting works and it never skips/buffers.

Just me?

Vume trenched just up the road from you guys.
