Confirmed, international is dead, tried to run a Speedtest to EU/London and it failed, wouldn't even run

It's weird. My ingame latency is higher, but the game feels smoother. Could be imagining things.

@websquadza Any idea why this and some other routes to London have skyrocketed in latency?

@websquadza any issues. Just lost connect to a bunch of Europe based services?
Hi guys. I keep getting disconnected from the Blizzard/COD servers mid match. Not sure if this is a problem on their side or with my connection.

Apologies for the late feedback here. Our one WACS vendor experienced a flap on their L2 between CPT and London around 14:51 this afternoon - this is why you would've seen higher latencies from later this afternoon. They attempted to re-introduce the affected route at 17:34 this afternoon, but rolled back the change. However, for a brief moment, our prefixes were advertised over these bad routes.

Certain return traffic is still running via the longer route while this issue is completely resolved.

This alternate route is a tad longer than the primary for the WC region - so you'll see a slightly higher latency here. Will have an update on when this will return to normal asap.

The weird thing is, online games FEEL more responsive on this route, even though the latency is higher. As does general browsing / streaming. Odd.

There we go,WS has added the Openserve to my portal now

So i've been switched over for a while, just got the invoice for openserve prorata next month and current month, and credit note for this month's vumatel from when I got switched

All in all happy sofar with the new cheaper account :) just had to do some small tweaks to my Mikrotik to switch to PPPoE from DHCP

That is quite odd. We've been chatting to our vendors about the possible reasons for this, will see what they come up with.

On a sidenote, new transit provider for CT won't be up this week - we are waiting on a LOA for that cross connect to be installed, and from there it's usually 3-5 working days. Will update you as soon as we're up there. Other good news is that we've got a Netflix cache in CT coming up next week (should make that feel a little snappier).

We want to get 200/100 openserve. What free router is provided by Websquad?

We provide a Tenda AC8. Gigabit, Dual Band and IPv6. If you’re going to be using this for business like I think you said you would, I’d recommend something like a MikroTik HAP AC^2. Ask your sales team member about pricing on this and a discount voucher in lieu of us sending you the free to use router.

Nah was just wondering. We already have some sort of DIY router AKA Untangle here and very happy with the performance and features. We don't need wifi as we already have 2x ubiquiti AP-AC LR access points. I was just wondering what router you get. 1 Thing I hope for is that Openserve can wake up and offer 1gbps internet speeds

Sadly I think Openserve would probably have to replace a lot of their backhauls and equipment to offer gigabit though.

Any news on the routes being restored?

edit: to clarify, I mean the increased latency to London:
