Any feedback from dstv or whoever.. The streaming quality is still pretty kaka and jumpy now with the rugby.
Is it only the rugby?
I watched some Wimbledon on Samsung Dstv now and all looks good on my side. Catchup also excellent and smooth.

No, last weekend it was the F1 too. Will see what the F1 is like today. Maybe it's been fixed and the rugby was just a surge that DSTV couldn't handle.

Yeah it's been horrible. It's definitely a DSTV issue though.

WebSquad have been trying to get to the root of it but Dstv aren't very helpful

@websquadza Internet out, Vumatel Trenched CPT

Can't get an MTR, "No route to host" error.

Funnily enough my uptimerobot is reporting the connection as still up, and pings to my IP are still successfully going through from many locations around the world.

Looks like it was DNS. CloudFlare pooped. Changed my DNS to Google and it's running fine.

Looks like cloudflares website and any services running on them are down as well (i.e. discord and mybroadband)

@websquadza would you be able to provide more information about this? CloudFlare hasn't reported anything on their status page, and I'm having no issues connecting to mybroadband and discord with Rain LTE (typing this up on rain right now)

Looks like something went wrong on the Cloudflare network- likely more to do with their DNS given that your Rain (which uses a different DNS) could access the site servers... I see that BGP sessions stayed up in CPT, but 1.1.1.1 was unreachable for a while just before 2am till just after 2am. Add Quad9 as a secondary DNS (they also have a CPT resolver)- should help when Cloudflare has a wobbly on Quad1. I think this is their second DNS wobbly in as many months.

Awesome! Thank you

Nope vuma trenched
That's weird, rare to see losses there. What area? Losses seem to stem on first hop and carry through from that first hop though, so worth escalating. Running traces on this side to see if I get the same results.

Wilgeheuwel.

Definitely not seeing the same losses from core:
