Evening all. We’ve escalated to Vuma NOC and AEX. Seeing a large number of complaints and tickets, particularly from the west rand in JHB. Please open a ticket if you have not yet and send an MTR. We are funnelling this to AEX who provide all backhaul in the area.

Looks like this cleared shortly after 11pm last night. Was a bit more wide spread than the West Rand. Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues?

No problems with anything google related (mail, search, youtube) as an example.

In fast.com I usually saw my ipv6 ip address in the details but now I see my ipv4 address. Also:

Seems that the web page loads from their ipv6 but all the other services that send data as part of the test does so on ipv4

@websquadza any Idea yet why this is happening?

Was getting 100MB/s from steam and uplay early this morning, and downloading another game now and its limping along again, so no not fixed.

Edit:

It's really not stable, it spikes from 3 to 100 to 20 back to 100. And it's not disk throttling (going onto a m.2, and its usage is only at 8%)

Hi, any reason the connection went off completely for 5 minutes at around 3 PM?
Nope. Network stats all look good. Could be FNO related?

Unless you're seeing packet loss on the line, it's definitely fixed. Nothing changing or varying on our side. Everything looks good and usage graphs are pretty flat. Spikey download performance is usually a sign of TCP buffer issues (the high speed spikes and drops thereafter). Check your TCP window scaling options to try improve this. Have you tried another game as well? Could be the way these files are chunked and processed.
