I did test a Business pro account and flew during the day and after hours was terrible. The worst was during DL+ hours when it crawled.

I am a home user who wants on the very odd occassion, to know that I can DL an episode now and watch it. With the speeds I get on a capped account, this is impossible.

Thank you both for your suggestion, but why should I pay premiun rates to get a basic service? I think this is just playing into WA hands. Yes if I wanted to DL lots of stuff during various hours, I could understand, but for the odd DL, no ways am I going to pay extra for this "privilige"

Sadly I think this is one of those discussions that will never have a final resolution unless I move from a inferior ISP to a quality business.

Maybe WA needs to introduce star rating on their capped accounts?? A hybrid capped account that restricts/rewards like a uncapped account.

Not Business Pro. I have a normal Business Capped account. 200Gb + 1 TB . I pay R289 per month. Hardly a premium rate.

You see R 92.44 as too much money to pay extra, per month, for a better, faster service? Jirre, I'm sure all the money you save on DSTV and buying Blu-Rays, more than make up for that paltry amount.

I pay R 499 for my 10 meg line as well as 200gig + 1TB cap; the same deal you are talking about would cost me give or take R 700.

I personally don't have DSTV as it is a waste of money; yes R 200 at present is quite a big amount for me.

When I do change I would rather give someone like CW a go as generally they seem to be the go to guys for quality products and for their great on line presence, I would want to reward them for that

BTW, where are you based?
 
21.45 and my DL is running at just over 100KBs - this on a Friday night. Not even 10% of my line speed

The problem resolved itself that evening, apparently it was a Telkom issue affecting users in our area.

But now another problem... we scheduled to have our data changed from the home 300 GB @R299 to the business 200GB @ R289 on the 25 of August but this request seem to have been forgotten.

My capped account is not even managing 15% of line speeds on my DL from the news servers.

This is a best effort service from WA, so this is really scary.

Sadly I would not recommend WA to anyone if this is the best they can do
