WebAfrica Capped ADSL

I sent an email to cancel my WA services last night. Was happy enough with WA, just took the Telkom promo of 4mb uncapped adsl month to month ar R599 all in. Today when I checked to see why I had not received any confirmation of receipt, got the long story. It's somewhere in the queue of emails not read ( can't remember waiting long when I joined them) , I can do it right now on the phone with the consultant. All good, however, the TERMINATION IS END OF APRIL, 60 days notice . Not cool Web Africa.

Thank you for the info. Web Africa requires a 30 day calendar month's notice for cancellation and not 60 days.

Since the email was sent on the 28/02, the cancellation will be scheduled for the end of March. You will receive a response to that email soon.

Thanks Zaheer. Got a call and email to rectify. Hope you had a chat with the consultant as well. Was adamant that all ISP's would behave the same. In this competitive market you don't want to do yourselves an unnecessary injustice, chasing one extra month fee, while closing the door on a possible returning client in the future.

Hi. your capped speeds are great, I've bought a 20 gig package because Afrihost are shaping somewhere. can I buy bandwidth month to month? or is there also a "30 day period to not buy data?
 
Top ups don't expire - so you can most certainly purchase those @ R9 per 1GB
 
Ok, thinking more along the lines of 40 Gigss.. if I buy once off, does it carry over end of month or not?

Thanks, Im good, I'm going to monitor my usage on this 20 Gig I have now, to try get an idea of what I will buy. It's PROBABLY going to be the 60 gig per month.

My business capped account is working fine.

I'm about ready to move from Ah, the ONLY thing I don't like is the 30 days notice with you guys! I did speak to the call center to explain this was a line test, and managed to chat to a supervisor who "understood", and has cancelled my line.. I'm REALLY keen to take a 75 Gig ADSL package, but... If I want to move, I don't want to "waste" another 100 bucks for the 30 days notice period.. that's just daft.

Any options on this condition?
