Weird 3G oscommerce problem

I have a strange issue when connecting with 3G and trying to update oscommerce pages, it just doesn't work!
It hangs and won't update or add new products.
The strange thing is it will connect to the oscommerce admin panel and I can change various options - say items on special.
I just can't do any updates to the actual products or add new ones.
This is only with 3G - all other type connections work just fine - does anyone have any ideas?

can you advise which proxy to try, for example if i try cache.saix.net it tells me forbidden access and I can't surf anywehre...

ok, I tried a us public proxy and it sorted out the oscommerce issue - but that causes other problems, but its a step in the right direction, thanks
