He only pm'd RPM after everyone started with RAS. At the start he was not registered as a rep. Also I am not aware of the costs involved being a company rep. I have not seen them listed anywhere so I cannot comment on this. Fact is when he started this he was not registered.

However, this thread has now been moved to the appropriate dealer spam section. It is no longer in the hardware and software discussions as this was never what this thread was about. This thread was always about advertising.

Also as i stated at the start of this thread, the item is not yet in South Africa but will be in South Africa.
If you believe that me giving out information on a new product that we are bringing in is a waist of your time i do apologize for that.

You do not need to respond to my previous post, but I would suggest reading it....

Even of its not part of your job, Rectron must have given you permission to do it.

If not, you're totally damaging their brand reputation.

You've blown this so out of proportion that Rectron may be forced to give us an official response

One more thing, if you're creating the account on mybb as dealer/advertiser like you said.. Then you must have Rectron endorsement ...

I mean you have been going mental at wesley since the start, yes I know its not fair that he can't sell directly to the public but so what, we can take our business elsewhere.

You arnt the owner of this forum, if RPM feels he isnt spamming or whatever, you have no say in this.

Esquire should rather go to Rectron for book keeping and warranty lessons.
 
I actually have no problem with Wesley establishing their product ranges. It would actually be very much appreciated should he be able to report on problem scenarios like, returns, issues etc. Thus enlightening the end-user on his/her purchase or needs.

My only quarrel with this is that when a Forumnite ask where he can purchase the product… Wesley will have to provide a channel, thus giving one reseller a customer above another. Their resellers who are stockists may however be nominated to make contact with a Forumnite who has interest in a product, but this is all within their internal agreements, nothing to do with MyBB.

I was having a discussion. I tried my utter best to figure out why Rectron will not give Mybroadband access to buy direct. It would be great if he could shed some light on this.

Secondly, he came in here saying that he provided information and discussion, where as he actually advertised Rectron products. This is great and all, but the way he was doing it was utter spam. I am pretty sure if I started copying random bits of information from the internet and paste it here as products I am selling, I would also upset quite a number of members here. If he provided us with an objective view of the product and saying who all stocked it and where one could purchase it, then by all means go ahead. That information to me is useful. But going around saying, we are Rectron. We are selling this, you cannot buy it from us. That really annoys me. If any other person came in here and offered stuff, that if I did like it could actually go out and buy. That would be great.

Also he is busy tarnishing the name of Rectron. This in itself is another issue, but I am not going to go into this.

I merely asked several questions to which I wanted answers. I never once said that I will get him banned for spamming / advertising. I reported the posts that I felt was spam, as that is what the forum expects me to do? I even provided Wesley with an opportunity to explain his positition, but he merely decided that he has the right to spam us with information on products that we do not have access to.

Oh yes, I must add this. I saw the exact spam he posted here on several other forums on which I am also a member.

But Rectron's entire business model, for all of time, makes a point of not dealing with the end user.
So I'm even more confused by their presence here...

It is not within the Rectron structure to sell to the end-user, they are only a distributer, doing this will greatly disrupt their reseller channels and customer services. You want to buy, go register a company and sign up as a reseller (dealer) and take the risk to trade.

You cannot compare Esquire to Rectron, not on business scale and not on volumes.

I know this and that is why I questioned him in the start, except should they want to handle warranty issues here on MyBB :p
