What apps do you recommend for iPad?

Both Skype and Fring work on the Ipad 2. Neither is optimised for the larger screen but they both work and are very usable. The latest Fring also supports video conference calling.

So i got my ipad 2 today. What apps would you guys recommend i get hold of as soon as possible, or start of with?

Nobody knows why Skype takes so long to come up with an iPad version. It's actually ridiculous. But I can't wait until it finally happens. Using Skype a lot.

I see Gameloft have a couple of their games on sale for $0.99 at the moment. Worth getting at that price:

Thanks for the heads up. Some of the Gameloft games look really good, I don't play a lot of the games I bought already so will see if I decide on getting anymore just to "sit gathering dust".

A cool way to drain your battery quickly before recharge is Pocket Pond HD (US store only), also shows off the iPad's graphics pretty well . If you're really bored while waiting, buy the full iFish Pond which also adds fishing.
