1989 Toyota Corolla 1600 sport. Bought brand new for R27000, sold it 4 years later for R25500.

Lada Niva. I thought it would be cool to be different from all the Golfs and Tazzes that dominated the varsity parking lot. Thought the chicks would dig me.
As it turns out, women folk aren't so turned on by waiting on the side of the road while their date is trying to reattach broken water hoses. But hey, they got in the car in the first place so maybe the Lada did work.
 
2001 Ford Laser Tracer Tonic in Dark Blue. Didn't have a camera back then, so no phone.

#onlygenzcanwinjackets. :(
 
1986 Reddish 1.3 LX Ford Meteor, LX meant it had heated rear window. Came with an ancient pioneer tape deck, and a gear lever that I sometimes had to dig out the floor. It went at least, most of the time.
 
1989 VW Jetta 1.8 CLS, champagne colour. Old, heavy, thirsty and noisy, but it went and I drove it around for quite a bit. Would have gone a lot further until it encountered an...incident.

Yeah. :) I'm waiting on my folks overseas to see if they can't track down a photo of the actual car.

Thanks - it was an awesome car. Convertible, adjustable headlights, even a crank handle to start it (only attempted that once). :)
