I like your triple test idea. Think I will try that too. Do you have a written food diary or a app? I have downloaded about 10apps now to try and they are all so complicated and ****ty. Just want a basic "today I ate..." Type thing not a carb counting, weight measuring one. He Ioves nuts and Greek yogurt. He has them every morning and can't have a day without them. He finds they make things work better so keeping those. He can't eat even one meal with bread without pain and bloating unfortunately. At the moment he had to have rusks (something heavy but we don't want to do bread) early in the morning with 1 set of pills (steroids) and a normal brekkie later with other and those rusks kill him by night time. But only another 2 days of meds left.
I really appreciate all the advice Sauron glad you have found a way to cope and still enjoy great food. Think I'll be going back to check your food for ideas. Thank you.
I also went through the myriad of Apps and of the lot MyFitnessPal was easiest but as you say it's a calorie counter and therefore overkill.
So I started just using OneNote to track what I ate and more or less what it did to me and at the time also every bit of info about my disease.
End of the day as I got more into it I now just use Google Calendar in reverse, adding stuff after it's happened more to monitor what's evil and what's not and to check when I have something similar again what it does.
But in the beginning you want to track mostly everything and often by hand or a simple note taking app is easiest.
Later you can just monitor specific bad stuff.
I am very lucky that I was already off sugar at the time I was diagnosed with Crohn's and was in the process of less and less milk. Went all gluten and lactose free which is impossible and I would rather Kill myself.
Got on the gluten again in no time and lower lactose products.
The first month it is good to get off all of it as a kind a body reset though. Easier to find trigger foods when your eating almost nothing.

Not sure my recipes will help too much. I only cook on weekends really and that's when I cheat because if I go mandown I don't have work at least.
You didn't hear it from me...but the Devil's Lettuce works wonders on the bad days.
