everyone on whatsapp right now is basically like people renewing contracts in 2012 and getting a Blackberry, behind the times and too F-ing stubborn to move away from the messaging app of choice.

Telegram stores your messages on their servers, WhatsApp doesn't.

For a good reason. You can have Telegram installed on multiple devices. In Whatsapp it doesn't work seamlesly. Secure chats are not stored on their servers. Do you have secure chats in Whatsapp?

I can, but it is not easy enough. A new doesn't neccessary mean better. New phones will be smaller, it is temporary rush on large screen.

Coming back to the subject, I have Skype and Viber installed on iPhone 4, both work well. However when somebody calls me on Whatsapp, a message comes "sajunky is unable to receive Whatsapp call". This is a crap. I can't send a zip file with Whatsapp, Why? Is it so difficult to implement?

Probably because your phone is so old it can't be updated to a firmware that supports the new version of whatsapp. Just like I can't install whatsapp on a Nokia 5110 or a Motorola V50.

You want modern apps, you need a modern phone...

I explained already it is crappy app, as I can make calls using Skype and Viber. Can you send zip files using Whatsapp? You don't need new firmware to send zip files, right?

I've no idea, why would you want to send .zip files via whatsapp? Surely Dropbox or even email is easier and more logical?

What are you on? Are you in the CIA you have an issue with using Dropbox for zip files? FFS, it's just a simple transfer system for .zips, generally I have a small app or program I want to send to someone, zip it and pop it in my public folder and email the link to the person, simple.

If it was something that was so worryingly important you shouldn't be using any internet method, you should be downloading onto an encrypted USB drive and getting a secret agent to carry it over in person.


Perhaps you should be using Tor for everything, including your tin foil orders...

This thread is a discussion about whatsapp you muppet, and as I said if you are talking extreme security you wouldn't be using the Internet. Trying to act the know-it-all but looking like a poor idiot who can only afford an iPhone 4...

No. I can't afford iPhone 4. It was given to me. Does it make anything worse?

Yes, I have sufficient knowledge about Internet security. However it doesn't need a great knowledge to properly assess level of your stupidity. I repeat, you know nothing about security. If anybody disagreed in this matter, it would be bunch of messages correcting my assessment, due to my 'know-it-all' behaviour, right? I didn't see any. So reconsider you are wrong, it will be easier for you. :)
