Come by the cobble walk one, they have stock and if you like the Glen Scotia 15 I have a half fill bottle you can grab, I really don't enjoy it xD.

I have been tempted to grab one of the 12s but well I just can't quite do it :p

Edit: Also pretty sure these were at Protea Heights checker's liquor.

Edit: for those who like a more highland style and wine/sherry cask influence, the Loch Lomond Inchmurren Madeira cask should be on special at Durbanville Checker's liquor.
That's a deal. How about I then give you my half a bottle of The BenRiach 15yo PX Cask which I don't like at all either?

Alright, so the Maker's 46. It's stronger than the Maker's Mark, but the added age is showing. It's mellowed out nicely, and while still warm, it lacks that harshness. There's none of that mealy red apple in the finish that I disliked, but more of a creamy apple pie finish, with some spices to back it up. The oak staves they used in the finish SHINES. This is a good bourbon, and with the oakiness it almost seems like it likes to cross into Scotch territory, if you looks past the obvious corn sour mash flavour.

I like this. I like this a lot. I'll be enjoying this whisky quite a bit, I'm guessing.

Have a few new ones in recent weeks - some thanks to the good members of this forum.

There’s a response from Jim in this article:

So i don't follow his review at all but i have seen the bible floating around. In truth times ARE changing and he CAN make reviews without reference to sex / appearing sexist etc... while it may be a storm in a teacup as far as he and many other are concerned - these are the kinds of things in today's environment that put a target on your back. Clearly shots have been fired.

Edit: I see his response is take it or leave it oh well

There’s a response from Jim in this article:

I think that his comments and comparisons, are crude and infantile and rather stuck in the 50's gentleman's club scenario.

The sexist part is purely coincidental IMHO...if he was gay, he would have commented on all different kinds of sexual scenario's with men, wouldn't he?

Would the Liberal outrage then have been just as severe? Or would they have re-branded him as "woke"?

I don't see anything he said as really sexist. I firmly disagree with any call to ban or delist his book, that should be up to the consumer, 5 days ago people were quite happy to write articles and publicize his whisky bible. I still think it's a pretty worthless book but I don't think he should be penalized for his choice of writing.

I'll reiterate referencing sex is not sexist, I've seen plenty of people call whisky sexy. Most of the examples are just funny if anything.

I will not stand for censorship over some perceived offense and outrage, it makes no sense.

To anyone who thinks this should be censored, do you also think female romance authors should be censored for their descriptions of Men? If not, why?

I will also add women aren't so fragile that they can't handle what is said in a book. Stop treating them like infantile objects, that's true sexism.

Some interesting Whisky news:

I cannot find any info on this on the official Glenmorangie website...

About 2 or so weeks ago, chatting to the owner of Boulevard Cellars and he confirmed that he will be getting it.
