Not worried about DHL. We import all our products so used to shipping from various Countries.

More curious why WhiskyBrother is taking so long to ship :cautious:

They have a big backlog due to Black Friday and the new Three Ships release.

May be that they have some 300 bottles to pack and ship............

Don't worry, @BartSimpson ..... @dualmeister sommer answered his own question already.

Can waiting for a bottle of Whisky be so discombobulating I wonder?

If you've paid duties, I'd be surprised if you don't get it Tuesday. Depending on where you live, it could be with you tomorrow.

Envious! That colour is gorgeous.

Speaking of boxes... I picked up my first Black Friday order today (delivered to my Durban address on Wednesday). Was hoping I'd luck out and get a Billy Walker 15 but no dice, it's the RB bottling. Doesn't matter, for R1192 it's a steal. I've never tasted the original Revival, anyway, and I think I've fallen in love!

Probably my favourite dram so far ahead of the Ancnoc 18 with Ardbeg 10 in third place. I've got a lot more bottles to buy/try, but I think sherry might be my thing. Waiting on those WB Glencairns to arrive before I start opening any more of my 'collection'.

Such a big step up from the Glenbrynth I'd get pished on during my uni days.

Kudos for saying “pished” instead of pissed on a whisky thread. It’s the Scottish term ;)

OK so recently I've had a chance to taste the Maker's Mark right next to the Maker's 46 in direct succession to each other. Several times. Because I have both bottles. These are two damn interesting whiskies. The Mark I find sharper, harsher and actually a bit more interesting than the 46. Perhaps it's because I'm used to Scotch, but 46 reminds me of a mixed whiskey. Something between a Scotch and a bourbon. It has the bold flavours of a bourbon, but somehow still the subtlety of a good Scotch. That's definitely due to the longer age and the French Oak used in the bourbon, but it's a great whiskey. Pretty smooth.

I have to say, honestly, I can't decide between the two. I don't know which is my favourite. I honestly don't. For what they are and at their price points, I love them both. I hate having both in that bourbon combo and not being able to pick.

Thanks, I've been thinking about this since my last batch of diy vinegars are due this weekend (lime vinegar and a berries, cheries and apples vinegar). Quit nice link to get started; so I'm going to get practice whiskey and few bears I want to turn. I'll probably get a ph meter for this which will be nice for my other things.

So, to turn alcohol into vinegar, you need something called acetobacter (haven't checked the link the Quin posted yet). That might not work very well in 40% ABV alcohol, and as I have it, vinegar needs to be distilled. So keep that in mind.

Finally rolling out - regretting I didn't order more!!

EDIT: 5 whiskies left. This won't see the end of the day.
