I'm guessing the soda is the 'citrus' part but Beet Rye is/was a popular mix - thyme/sage, citrus of choice, beetroot slices and rye whisky.

Not my thing but to each their own.

I have the Arran 10 (green) and Arran 14 (purple) and enjoy them. Arran 10 is a rich, fruity whisky while the Arran 14 takes that candied fruit with a little more sea air.

I don't know how the new bottles are (if there's a difference).

Thanks. Ended up going to Checkers and got a bottle of Glen Scotia but will definitely try Arran, hopefully still this year.
